What did he say? Yes, the code is cracked wide open. Cracked so wide open, an infant can use it and resolve math problems without being able to count past five.
The ancient Maya used a vigesimal based system. A system based on 20, instead of the modern 10 based system we use in the decimal system. This makes it appear difficult as we assumed they based this system on counting with their fingers and toes (20 in most cases), like the decimal system being based on ten, from counting with our fingers.
~ This is WRONG! VERY WRONG and I figured out why and how!
I wrote a book about this. Explaining it all and I was very very brief about it. It's on Maya mathematics only and explained in very concise and simplified form. I did this on purpose, so I would hold attention and actually teach the Maya system I figured out.
You will see, the Maya method is easier than our current modern one. SO much better, it should be the new standard taught in schools. I dare to even say that and challenge anyone to prove me wrong. Maya math is easier to use than modern math. So much easier, you can use Maya math to teach a toddler to add 47894 + 74894 or subtract 37893 - 4783 and get an accurate answer with only a few minutes of instruction. Whereas you cannot do that with modern math. Modern math takes years of pounding and repetition, in hopes most of our High Schoolers can even do it (and many can't).
The Mystery of how the Maya used mathematics to create engineering feats that stand firm today, not mentioning the accuracy and complexity of their astronomy knowledge, is finally solved and you will be astounded by how simple it really is!
